Hello english speakers!!
Well, I've noticed that this part of the forum is not very dinamic... and I think that there is also some lack of organisation (with all the due respect for all the moderators and adminis of this forum to whom I thank for the great, great job ).
So, I thought that the part "Discuss" needed a special "Welcome zone" to all the english speakers that come for the first time and don't speak french very well or don't really know how to speak french.
It will be a good start if all the members in this situation made a small introduction like:

1.Name
2.Country
3.Age
4.The way you learn about "Le Roi Soleil"/ Emmanuel Moire
5.Hobbies
6. ...

I feel like I should make something clear... This is not a way to create a barrier between french speakers and english speakers. I just think that we should create this little space because some people register and they love the artist, they want to express the way they feel, but they have a huge barrier: the language. I've been there myself, so I know what I'm talking about.

My name is Ana, I'm from Portugal and I'm 18 years old.
I discovered "Le Roi Soleil" while I was confortably installed on my couch, zapping... I stopped on mcm and there they were: Emmanuel Moire and Anne-Laure Girlbal, singuing that wonderful music...
I should inform you that at that time I didn't listen to french music (for many reasons, mainly because in Portugal they don't play french music on the radios and because, altough I've learned french for three years at school, I had forgotten most of the things I learned) so, there i was, listening to that awesome music, sang in a unknown language and guess what... I loved it! Even with all those obstacles, that music and mainly, that interpretation were absolutely amazing!

My hobbies are dancing, reading, listen to music, watching tv and writing. Oh, I almost forgot... and participating in LRS's forums Rire

Now that i look back to what I've written, I've noticed that it's a lot and enough... lol Rire

My name is Filipa, I'm 18 and I'm portuguese too! Just like you, I've discovered Emmanuel one day, sitting in my couch watching MCM. I already knew one or two french songs, but I was also null in french language! My 3 years of french in school were completely gone Embarassed

The first music that I eard from LRS was "Etre a la hauteur", after that song I was their fan! Now I even speak french again (I little bad still, but it will get better!) thanks to this forum Bravo

My hobbies are sports (I played rugby for an year but now I'm for more quiet sports lol!

) , singing, reading, listen to music and I also play accordion since I was 6!

Found Le Roi Soleil by accident one day when I was surfing the internet for information on Cathialane from Le Petit Prince.

And saw the show in December and totally fell in love with it.

Bought the cd in Paris so I knew the songs but not the way they were perfomed.

Last week in Paris I bought the single of 'La vie passe' with cd-rom - so gorgeous - can't wait for the dvd of the show to be released if that clip is anything to go by!!!!!!!!!!

Lord, it's been eons since i wa son here, i AM SO SORRY for that, but it's just been chaos with work and the master's degree, but WOW, this place is ROCKING now, and there are so many more portuguese fans around these parts, i think i was the only one when i signed up, it's nice to see the LRS love spreading around the globe.

My nephew is now in love with the cd, he's going to be 2 years old in a few days and initially he didn't like it, but now it's like HELLO, where's that nice thingie my auntie taped for me!!
