I'm so glad that this section of the site has been opened! I am English and live in London, I saw le roi soleil last December and it was amazing! Emmanuel was brilliant, he is so talented. I bought the double CD and DVD and as a result I really feel that my French has improved. I also sent him a letter which I wrote in French, I hope he read it! I don't know how much English Emmanuel knows but I hope it is enough to understand this message that I am writing, and to know that he has inspired many people around the world, especially me!

Ditto to the previous comments. I only joined the forum a few days ago hoping that I'd be able to make good use of online translators and understand a little!

I'm English, and even though it's my dream to live in France, I haven't yet been able to learn French. So it's amazing news for me to be able to come on here and understand stuff!

Thanks for the incouragement Christelle! This is a great forum to be a part of. For the record I have been learning French for 7 years now at school. So hopefully he would be able to understand what I wrote in French. I am able to understand most things written on this site in French, my weakest point is holding a conversation in French, I find this difficult but I am improving (hopefully!)

I am Eli on the french site. But for some reason it wouldn't let me connect with that name!

I saw 'Le Roi Soleil' in December and was totally blown away by it. I had the cd for a few months before but seeing the show made it all make sense.

Manu is gorgeous and was so sweet after the show with all his fans - I just hung back and took pictures.

Marie - I am the same I can read and write pretty well in French but speaking is another matter. Its nice to know that not only Christel and I have seen the show live!

Et des filles françaises - merci pour la fabrication de moi ainsi accueillez sur le 'site' français en dépit de mon mauvais Français! Il est si gentil que nous puissions tout communiquer dans différentes langues.

Talented performers are apprecaited whatever language they sing in.

Des interprètes doués sont appréciés quelque langue ils chantent dedans.

And Manu has a beautiful voice - et Manu a une belle voix.

Just read on bio that he had to sing 'Hymne a l'amour' at the first audition - my favourite french song of all time!!!!!!!!!!!

Adore Josh Groban's version, and Sebastian Izambard's little bit from a Portuguese tv show.

So glad to see that the troup won an award at the music awards - hope the few of us in the UK voting helped!
